not up to par with her output here, but a lot of people speak positively of it. it's more poppy.

I just jammed it (Brittany Howard's "Jamie.) It seems like its trying hard to be an avant garde statement album, kind of similar to To Pimp a Butterfly. I wouldn't call it poppy, at least for me. Seems like the kind of album Pitchfork would jizz over. Has a few great jams though.
