This album in a way is Tool clinging to the last strands of their formula and doing pretty much everything they've done before but with inferior results. I hope the new album has better variety. That being said this still rules for the most part.

Nah dude, filler aside this has some of their best songwriting ever. The transitions are killer and there's more of them than ever before. It's not my #1 Tool or anything, but they're not grasping at anything here, they're destroying every single song. Business as usual for Tool.

So many years later, this album still blows my mind like it did the first time I heard it. How is that even possible? It just makes me chuckle when people say the new album will be a letdown because expectations have grown too high. Then I just listen to this album again and the idea of them ever misstepping becomes ludicrous.

WHAT. That's like one of the only songs I haven't bothered learning to play and I kinda regret it. It just has so many riffs lol.

I get that it was a spur of the moment thing. Please tell me you do the vocals too, there's no way lol. I want to see this.

It's really not bad at all, the worst offender is that you're using like a Machine Head tone for Tool. :P

Sorry if I made you salty or something, I was just busting your balls. The first 4 minutes were tight but you got sloppy on the buildup to the solo and the solo itself. Like you said, it was only second attempt and you were drunk and fucking around. You know how long it takes me to properly learn Tool songs? Longer than it probably should.
