his autotune stuff is brilliant tho, although I prefer it as a side experiment rather than his main focus

yea. The use of autotune in "Runaway" is amazing. If used correctly, autotune can do wonderful things.

Good review. You know....I really only loved MBDTF, the rest of his albums to me are 3.5 at most. But goddamn there are some slammin' tracks on this puppy. I mean...when I first heard "Spaceship" I listened to that shit at my desk non stop for days.

And the way he says "insecurrrr" on "All Falls Down", perfect. :]

nice psuedo-pleb post-irony opinions. that's a really cool meme, you'd fit right in at 9gag,

but right now I think now's time to put that aside just for a moment and accept 808s for how cash it is.

what the hell does that even mean?

Honestly, 808s had so much potential potential to be AMAZING. A few kinks kept it from being amazing(most of the featured artists), but it's still really great.

I must have missed this review - a good read, pos.

I liked the way you briefly describe that state of mainstream hip-hop before this album dropped. Although Kanye-haters are sure disagree, to me this album was pretty influential.

Also, the beat on 'Last Call' is ridiculous. I could listen to that all day.

Surprised by how much I like this, but "Jesus Walks" and "The New Workout Plan" are still easily the best
