"thats cool all i was saying is earl is a free solo artist now and dropped the constrictive influence of the group, does what he wants, makes his own shit"

yea absolutely I think he's where he needs to be, I mean obviously I think that I'm fucking with this album heavy. Maybe the group dynamic was more important for other OF rappers than some well I think that's obvious but I'm def not knocking hodgy, domo, or mikeg I put too much listening in and too many internet comments talking about them for that, but all eyes on earl now.

anyway i agree this sounds more like a throwback to their old sound even though it is absolutely earl individually, hard to explain

will be interested to see what tyler's new album will be like

will it be as personal and inspired and a consistent piece of work, i doubt it, tyler seems way more concerned with the commercial / hype aspect of the game than the art now and just less inspired and it seems like earl had to get away from that after doris / leaving the tour

never liked domo, thought mike g was the most underrated but i though he just wasn't that into it or maybe just lacked work ethic, blackenedwhite was like a top 3 of project for me but i stopped liking hodgy after that, shit was all leftbrain

yeah wolf had some moments for sure, some really good songs, im just talking about the general trend in his material over time, plus how long its been since hes done anything and clearly he is focused on the brand (although his album is coming soon apparently, summertime probably, who knows maybe it'll be good)

Yeah Tyler has, and it's been obvious from the start, a business mind and I don't think it's that makes him not concerned with the art but I think it might make his music sound different, if that makes sense. I would like to see him do what earl did for this, "prostrate" himself to music, which he says in the NPR interview. and also slim down his tracklist, another thing that makes this and earl so good he picked like exactly the purest heat for this.

i dont mind that it's a relatively short album, the whole thing flows good and could get too samesy if it kept going, some people already saying it's a bit samesy and i get that

adds to the replay value for me, i think i only sat through doris as a whole once

I liked wolf but it wasn't the Wolf I thought it was going to be when Wolf was supposed to be the sequel to Bastard he mentioned in early early interviews, and Goblin wasn't it either. my stanning of tyler did not produce the results in albums I expected but it was fun as hell let me tell you.

yeah the shortness of the album got me replaying it all day which is fun but making me scared I'll get sick of it but now it got me listening to blackenedwhite pheww loaded with that fire fire fire mike g moment. that's his best that's when I got on my mike g campaign biggest failure of mine NEVER got Gold.

Na I still fuck with Tyler a lot I'm just not on his music rn. In reality, I expected too much from an artist, like someone you don't even know. I think whatever he does next will be good, music or not and I'm hoping it's not music. because we and by we i mean me and stan/former tyler stans who think/thought like me expected him to be the new kanye when he's himself.

and that's why of are rappers you can grow with. Or i can grow with. especially earl, for me.
