I've been fucking with this really hard tonight. Earl's lyrics keep getting better and better, and it takes multiple listens to start to grasp them.

Earls next album better be different, this album apart from Grief is just a copy of Doris, its darker, but nothing new or different. Still love it though.

I think they just started growing apart, going in their own lanes. Earl and Frank are the only ones i think that will be really successful.

earl really didn't enjoy the process of making doris and was mostly unsatisfied with the project, didn't like how tyler has become less focused on music as art and more on expanding the brand and the tv show, he's done with of

there's interview around with him talking about this shit and apparently whenever he had a show and the crowd starts chanting of he tells them to shut up lel

he's solo now

lol hes "solo" in your mind because hes the only nigga in that camp who still makes music. In reality tho hes still in the studio working with LB, he's still getting Tyer/Jasper/Taco to post links to his album on twitter, and he hasnt stopped fucking with any of those guys, its just that OF as a group has zero hype surrounding them anymore.

earl seems like a good person, hes not gonna ditch the dudes that came up with him just because they have other interests. He still fux with all of those guys. Theyre still a clique. Thats all im saying.

basically. well hodgy and domo and mike g still drop shit but I think earl understands you have to be around different people and situations to keep your art good. he sort of says this here among other interesting things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV_UQIs3er8

A tyler verse on here...well idk its just great to see the dynamics change or think about how they might've changed. Like on earl, tyler made the beats earl was the rapper, they were playing certain roles. Now earl's directing his own shit, and you can see where tyler influenced him so well and part of what makes this so good is that it sounds like an OF album 2010/2011 but aged just right to sound completely of its time. How would tyler sound over an earl beat? how would a beat made by tyler and earl together sound? I'm sure we'll find out eventually
