"They're not an old band, and it's not very similar to older jazz, but it's the one jazz album I've 5'd and given your love of ambience and the crushing atmosphere of doom, it could be the perfect entry point."
Thanks man, definitely sounds up my alley. I will check that as soon as possible.

Nice man! Not enough jazz guitarists get the recognition they deserve, it's refreshing to some love for them here.
I've been trying to delve into the Blue Note back catalog but so far haven't gotten past Sonny Rollings and Don Cherry yet haha

It's a strange combination of the greatest chilled sensation and burning jealousy listening to this. Jazz is ridiculously difficult to play anyway, and to make it sound as easy as this does is just infuriating - but then I just lean back and listen, and all is right with the world again.
Review is brilliant. Been trying to listen to more jazz recently and this is a clear-cut example of why.

Yeah. This is essential.

Good shout for a bump. Title track is so damn smooth, love the fact it's pure improv after a certain point.
