the single these guys put out a month or two ago finally reminded me to check them out, and damn am i impressed by how massive and dreamy this sounds. "Your Mind is a Helpless Dreamer" and "Gutter Moon" are blissful. the careful balance of influences here is so interesting too. i'm deathly tempted to check out the second record right away, which is something i rarely do.
