guys, check this:
it's a fucking quarter of a century since the album's release in 1990.
If Nick and Marty rejoined to commemorate this special occasion, that would be awesome!
meanwhile, check my recent review on RIP I wrote for its special 25 year anniversary

they wouldn't be rumors if they were deemed to be true

Ugh why

Perhaps they can regroup and release a serious album with clear patience behind it.

At this point, I think a rumored lineup like this is the only thing that can revive this band

Biggest issue is that you need to stop reviewing albums that sputnik loves just to differentiate yourself from the pack and then not properly back it up. Like maybe you could pull it off if you got more seasoned and reviewed for a long time.
Just be like normal people and review things you really fuckin like or releases without reviews or something.

Yeah, it's hard to keep your approval rating intact by negatively criticizing beloved records since everyone will neg you just because of your low score. These kinds of reviews can pass with records nobody's paid much attention to, but not with classics. Album still butts tho. :-]

I think a 3.5/5 is closer to what you seem to be going for with this. I don't understand why you'd complain about the guitar solos if they're so good. Why is it so bad that there's a shitton of "cheesy", "cool" stuff on here? Is Rust in Peace not highbrow enough for you?

Oh, and I would argue that the technical intricacy of the guitar playing here pushes it into progressive territory.

technicality does not make prog; prog makes prog.

I just call this thrash but that's just me
|

Progressiveness and technicality are not the same thing, wow you must be some sort of prodigy.

I mean Hangar 18 is basically Carry On My Wayward Son but with thrash riffs so that track can probably qualify as prog, but probably not the rest.

Five Magics is the closest this gets to prog but still definitely a thrash album lol

Calling a guitar a sitar because it plays a middle eastern scale, that's defiantly racist.
