The first 5 songs on here were so misleadingly good! Then with the exception of "Bob's Party Time Lounge" and "Kalamazoo" this album took a HUGE fucking dip in quality once "Shake Hands with Beef" ended. ("Puddin' Tane" and "The Chastising of Renegade" were decent too, but didn't really stand out upon first listen.



I'm actually disappointed, not to mention that it has my least 2 favorite Primus songs yet. Like on Coddingtown do they think they're a trash band or something? And wow is "Camelback Cinema" grating. At least 5 songs on here were flat out bad... : (



While I think the review is a little too harsh, it's not exactly far off either.

This album is amazing. I love the 4 track production. Punchbowl was so overly produced it took away from Primus' raw sound. The brown album is just that, it sounds "BROWN"...it's muddy, dirty and raw.



Great album, with probably Ler's best guitar work.

Camelback Cinema gave me a headache literally every time I played it (something no other Primus song does) so I have to say it's easily the worst song by them for that exact reason.
