Glad this finally got a review, was considering doing one but have been busy. This is top 10 material definitely. I found Disc 1 to be kind of average compared to this.

Disc 1 just seemed like fairly straightforward sludgecore (or however you classify it, i'm terrible with genre specifics) whereas this sounds like some otherworldy primitive next level shit with a lot more atmosphere and intriguing moments.

Gonna bitch and complain and say both of these albums are catalogued wrong. It should be The Ape of God PFL-145 and The Ape of God PFL-145.5.

Both albums should be reviewed together because it's still a double album.

No it's not. They have specifically stated, multiple times, that they are two distinct albums.

@Relinquished - What's the dankest sludge of 2014 because I want that!

@osmark86 - Well I've only been through the album once at the moment but I think it's better than NO and Christmas, but not quite as good as Seminar III, maybe about on par with Seminar II. There's a lot less fluff than Seminar II and it feels like a more cohesive album, but the high points are not quite as high. Although, it feels like it could grow.
