Art can be about whatever the fuck the artist wants it be about. Idk what the fuck else to say.

So, in order for art of any kind to work, it must not contain something that offends the consumer? I guess that works...

Religion doesn't belong in music that's not dedicated to religion.

tautology 101

"Because no one here currently shares the same beliefs I do? Regardless of my beliefs, I'll still stand
with what I say every time. Religion doesn't belong in music that's not dedicated to religion. "

Religion belongs in music if it's important to the artist and they want to put it there

You're forgetting what the ultimate purpose of an album is

and it's v hypocritical when you then accuse people of attacking the fact that you have an opinion (we're
not, we just think your opinion is stupid)

the best thing you could do now is to just admit you're wrong and leave it (since your arguments make no
coherent sense anymore and are full of fallacies) but judging by your comments you're way too insecure in
your own intelligence for that to happen so we might as well just leave it

@Seb - your argument is that religion doesn't belong in music (correct me if I'm wrong)
-everyone else's argument is that religion can be part of an artist's vision, and has as much reason to be a part of music as anything else

so... I'm not sure how you could possibly defend your stance, and everything you post seems to be intolerant, yet you advocate being allowed freedom of speech (yet somehow, artist's shouldn't include religion in their music?)

- i get that having religious content can spark controversy... but don't you see the hypocrisy in this? YOU are literally the only person that seems to care about the religious content of this album

"It's great to know I'm surrounded by long term acquantances who all take pleasure in ganging up and ripping on other members of the community. "

don't take it personally, just take some time to actually think about what you're saying

I do feel sorry for the guy. I had a similar first experience with Sput. Stick around, Seb. Honestly.

Fish.

Because I don't disagree that an artists can create whatever he wants, here's the problem.

it's just not entirely for me as the religious aspect disconnects me a little.

And that's a complaint. A personal one. Imn angry because everyone is telling me I'm wrong for having this opinion (that religion doesn't belong on an album). So freedom of speech: yeah the artist can say whatever he wants, but Sebinator can't say anything about the artist?

Here's the thing dude. There's a difference between having personal turnoffs, and saying that those personal turnoffs should be eradicated from an art form all together.

Deathschool I love this site a lot. Best music forum on the internet. I've been on it since 2011 (maybe '10, was a while ago)

I don't dislike anyone here, actually. Though the initial responses and rudeness portayed by some of the members here today

is quite bafflingly.

Though I am partly to blame, but it's quite saddening to see everyone just point their finger at me and ridicule me.

All I'm saying is if there wasn't any religion on this album, there wouldn't be any discussion on it. It creates controversy being there, regardless of your opinion on it. That's why it doesn't belong imo.

Again, I'm the only person here, out of 6 or 7 other active members, with this opinion. My friend irl shared the exact same opinion. I'm sure you'll find plenty more.
