Well of course ive heard of them and even jammed a few songs. A few years back i made a little rant about me loving post punk but being completely unable to enjoy a single post punk revival band/album (strokes, bloc party, arctic monkeys, etc.)

check algiers if you haven't, new release this year. post-punk with some industrial and really soulful vocals. and agent side grinder, they just released a new one this year too but they're kind of a depeche mode clone

Protomartyr's new record is pretty sweet as well.

This is nowhere as good as their debut which is disappointing but its still very catchy and fun. Unfortunately I'm getting tired of Shut Up and Dance and it's constant airplay.

shut up and dance...makes me want to bore my eardrums out when I hear it. Probably the most insipid, pathetic and useless song on the radio right now.
|
