Been on a Circa kick since the new EP is brilliant. I still stand by saying that Nesting Dolls is one of the most beautiful things they’ve created.

such a special song
bumped my rating for this recently. the highs are too high and even the lesser tracks are still good

only the sun/nesting dolls is one of the best combos they have

Oh shit this is my review lol. Glad I still feel the same about Nesting Dolls.

Awake In A Dream is a fantastic B-side from this album. I've never loved Descensus as a closer and I think Awake In A Dream adds exactly what I needed to finish off this album.

Descensus is the perfect closer but woah need to peep that now
edit: apparently i did listen to this and just forgot about it. good song but title track is easily far superior as both a song in general and closer

I can safely say that the TT is not gonna grow on me after seven years. I don't hate it, it just doesn't feel like a closer to me. Feels more like something you'd put in the middle of an album to reset the tone/pace. Nesting Dolls or Sovereign Circle would have been better closers for me, even ignoring Awake In A Dream.

used to rank this pretty highly but im lowkey thinkin of bumpin this down. 1-6 are all bangers (well besides that interludey thing i guess) but the last 4 songs, while all still solid, arent anywhere as good imo. still will prob keep it at the 4 tho since its got a handful of my fav circa songs ever on it, but its like my 2nd least fav now

My friend says the ending section of the title track reminds him of Domination by Pantera lol

Fucking love the “i spy” with prog riffs on here. Tool vibes in the first track, King Crimson riffs on track 2. Great album. Like Blue Sky Noise a bit more though

I feel like if you mashed the best of this album with the best of Violent Waves, you'd maybe have their best album. I feel like this and that run a little threadbare on ideas as is. That being said, I still love them lmao

actually i take my prior statement back i like violent waves more than this lol
the only circa album where i felt like they were running out of ideas is the amulet, but this drops off during side b for sure
