"You were my mechanical bride

A Pheno-Barbi-Doll

A manniqueen of depression

With the face of a dead star"

Dude was on another level with this shit.

One of the easiest 5's of my life. I miss the days when everyone was afraid MM was going to fuck the entire nation's youth up. Was interesting as a teenager in the bible belt.

Man I love this album but god damn this cover is so fucking ugly.....

Anyway, this was the album that really got me into MM, only years after it came out since as a kid he creeped me out and seemed to just be weird for the sake of being weird, then in my early 20s my opinion changed drastically

My friends and I got into MM in highschool precisely because it creeped out all the normies. Everyone else was jamming Craig David and Shakira CDs at parties and we were the ones cueing up Manson.

Well I was 4 when this came out, I wouldn't have listened to it then anyway... But my perception of him untill I actually listened was always super negative

Ha, okay yeah that is a bit young to be listening to Manson. I must've been 12 or 13 when this came out but I didn't start listening to it until a few years after anyway.

I love the first one but the second one sucks. The reboot/remake was pretty disappointing.

the title sequence has disposable teens playing. would've been cool to hear that in theaters

Ha I actually did see it in theaters but wasn’t into Manson at the time. Obviously knew about him but I was more into Deftones, NIN, Tool etc.

nice. you should watch book of shadows again to refresh, then read up a bit about the idea behind the film. it's one of my favorite horrors in the end

I’ll have to give it a rewatch. The original is one of my favorites. Saw it in theaters as well at a midnight screening a week before it opened. Scary as fuck and a great audience experience (oh and did I mention I was tripping on two tabs of acid with two girls when we saw it?).

I think kids nowadays (get off my lawn bitches) would be bored by it, but it was a phenomenon when it came out.

Book Of Shadows lmao budgie. One of most god-awful sequels to a horror film I've ever seen. It's very very funny though, and dat TWISTTTTTT =O

Omg Lark, watching Blair Witch on acid sounds highly inadvisable. I feel like that would result in a really bad trip, how was it? I fucking love that movie.

yeah i was just 9 when it released so too young to really be a part of all the hysteria. sounds like it would have been fun. i do remember watching scream around the same time and being blown away by that film, though. still my favorite years later

Haha @artiswar — I was actually totally fine (I ate ALOOOOT of acid in high school, even during high school, and really didn’t have bad trips), but the two girls I was with started wigging out so I told them to drop me off at my buddy’s house (in retrospect it’s surprising and scary that I let her drive me like that) — where I proceeded to start throwing my shoes in his backyard and having a bad trip lol!

And that’s the story behind my first (out of two) bad trips. When people around you have a bad trip, it tends to be infectious.

lmao Lark. Would love to hear about your trips. I only dropped acid one time. Watched 2001 for the 50th time, then watched shadows melt on the wall for 6 hours. It was utterly incredible.

Fun story, I watched Blair Witch 2 for the first time when I was like 9 years old, got taken to the theater by my reckless 18 year old sister and her friends. I wasn't the horror-phile I am now, and the film kind of traumatized me. I projectile-vomited over everyone in the 3 rows ahead of me during the 'miscarriage' scene. Was immediately escorted out. Lol.
