Great review, hit the nail on the head about everything.

That album cover is atrocious

"except for the fact that Jay-Z doesn't even try with his lyrics anymore, Eminem on the other hand is more along the lines of trying too hard
True enough but at the end of the day they're stuck in the same boat. Their lives have become so mundane that the only thing they can do is rely on past hype.

I've never heard Jay-Z's supposedly good albums but I refuse to believe he was ever good
but then again if I'd only heard 2005-present Eminem I'd probably feel the same way about him

Ehh you 3'd Ready To Die so I don't think it really would matter whether you listened to them or not
(not a diss or anything, I just don't think you'd really care for either anyway)

eminem already cashed in on the people who liked him for his more gimmicky style on his first
albums. He's doing a lot more now than just calling out famous celebrities for the publicity of it.
He has so much more substance now, this review has it completely backwards. Hes making music for his
home town and as a tribute to what hip hop once was, and what it should have been. His music is way
less immediately-catchy now, but once you get over the awkward sound on the first few spins, it has
a good amount of playback value IF he doesn't blow it with a bad singy-hook.
If you have ever written an eminem song or album off before you listened like five times, you're
missin out. Not sure why people are expecting the newest songs of one of the most technical and
dense rappers ever to be as immediately enjoyable as his decade-old songs that they have memorized
by heart.

If you don't like Reasonable Doubt you would have to be deaf Trebor.
. I hate Jay-Z and that album is an obvious classic. Rest of his mainstream shit sucks. Hes nothing
like eminem...

"MJ sang about the same stuff for 40 years,Madonna sang the same stuff for 30 years"
Complains about reviewer liking pop
Uses pop as a comparison

Fantastic review, Em is one of my favs but he stopped making good albums after TES. That rap genius comment is spot on too.

Hey kid. Jordan. Since you're new to this site why don't you click on that Marshall Mathers LP review next to mine. 5/5. See who wrote it? I did.
See, I don't dislike this album because I hate Eminem, I dislike it because I love Eminem too much to pretend he's not releasing total garbage.
