Idk this really feels like a transgression from shts, even wiitb in many ways. Not feelin this at all, boys

one listen and I was very frustrated... a snooze fest. Although I never loved WIITB, it had many moments and showed potential even if it seemed the scramz were a gimic. I was quite fond of SHTS even though the initial love for it faded over time I can still listen to it and enjoy.

The World of Violence demos are so much better than this. Like a SHTS pt.II, which was what I really was expecting of Back to Oblivion...

Yeah they made it pretty clear they liked it more when the teenyboppers were buying their albums. As for SHTS they already played an anniversary show, they said it would be the first and last. I fucking hate it when a bad shits on their own records just because they weren't selling well, anyone with any sort of matured musical taste would agree that SHTS is the superior record and aged a lot more gracefully then their debut.

I would've been happy if this was WIITB 2, but it wasn't that either. WIITB is still a pretty good album to me and while it lacks a lot the great musical experimentation of SHTS, it makes up for it in sheer catchiness.

They really should have done the SHTS tour though

There's a chance they might put out a DVD/live album of the SHTS show, it certainly had enough hype and wouldn't run them much to touch up a soundboard recording to please the fans. The WIITB X shows/live record were basically a fan service.

So disappointed by this. After SHTS, then the 2 EPs that came out after, I had high hopes for Finch.

And then they broke up. But then they got back together!

And then... this. THIS. WHAT THE HELL, YOU GUYS.

World of Violence demos were great. I forgot this existed. They actually finished recording and mixing the World of Violence album, but they never released it. Why oh why!

Seriously? If the EP was any indication, that would be miles ahead of this.

It's not THAT bad, no, but I definitely expected more. I guess my expectations were just too high.
