^ Same until recently. I still haven't jammed anything from SDOIT onwards in a long time though.

Yeah, it's weird how I can discuss virtually every DT album purely from memory

LaBrie's Elements of Persuasion does heavy better than this.

Honestly like Sfogli's soloing way more than Petrucci too (albeit Petrucci is still a god).

The only part of this album I genuinely hate is the solo for In the Name of God. I'm very patient/forgiving when it comes to DT's wankery, but that's the one moment of theirs I have to immediately turn off because it's just too fucking much.

Honestly as I get older, I feel like this is the DT album that has aged the best in their entire discog. If it wasn't for the shit that is Honor Thy Father than this would probably be a 4.5

i hate this band but endless sacrifice is a good jam, one of my favorites to practice on guitar.

Tacky is a good word to describe this band. I cant even take scenes from a memory seriously. I havent bothered with their recent stuff since apparently their main issues get much worse.

Damn, the opener's chorus execution is so cringe worthy.
Never heard images and words.

Idk about their newer shit because I haven't gotten there yet, but this and Six Degrees are both underrated.

@Choccy: Honor Thy Father is one of the better songs here, though. In the Name of God is fucking horrible and easily the worst here imo. The solo alone makes it one of DT's top 5 worst songs, and then the dated guitar chugs and nu-metal-inflected verses just make it even worse.
|
| |
Doesn't Honor Thy Father have LaBrie's glorious attempt at rapping? Yeah, that's actually one of their worst songs ever imo.
