I'll need to spin it a few times to familiarise meself with the names, but that was the one with the sweet horn section?

I mean he had a "dorky" track on FSWL in the form of Bluebell Cockleshell, but that was pretty damn endearing

I agree. I can't imagine him ever besting From Scotland With Love. The nostalgia factor is too great. but this is very good, and it's still growing on me--except for "Peter Rabbit Tea", lol.

"Faux Call" is my favorite at the moment, but "Melin Wynt" isn't far behind--love the bagpipes.

Yeah Faux Call is a beauty. Album is a grower which is saying something considering I thought it was fucking amazing to begin with :D

where ya from Twig? (ur probs wondering why; I always found it curious for people to flag up nostalgia as a predominant factor in enjoying this - regardless of whether or not they have any familial, historical or geographical ties to good ol' Scotland)

BTW, props for knowing who Benjamin Biolay is!

US, but Scottish ancestry

Benjamin Biolay is cool. Funny how French artists have like zero notoriety outside France.

Still one of my top-ten for the decade. This and his collaboration with Jon Hopkins, Diamond Mine... where did he disappear to? He is overdue for a new one.
