For my first listen I accidentally had my turntable on 33 rpm instead of 45 for the first LP. Still sounded pretty good. Got a free ticket to their show this month with purchase so that's sweet. Anybody know the openers, "Volahn" or "Nommo Ogo"?

i try to go into this thinking of it as "a companion piece to celestial lineage" but i'm not experience with ambient at all. it's okay, but i am really disappointed. i hope these guys aren't done with what they were doing before, whether its black metal or not. diadem through celestial lineage are all some of my favorite heavy albums ever that i still listen to all the time. i just hope they're not really done.

I doubt they are, they just want to do something different to get some new inspiration. pretty sure we'll see more metal material coming out from these guys.

Not in any way outraged by the new direction - not enough of a fan of WITTR to be so, even if I had such a mindset - this is just doing very little for me. It's a surprisingly unsurprising take on ambient... a touch of birdsong wouldn't have sounded out of place at times.
