That EP is better than I remembered. LP gets points for being longer, though.

Gonna check that out too.

This album pisses me off so much. They had so much potential after releasing Surpass Eclipse. It's a shame they wasted it for this typical sound.

I feel WittR more than Ash Borer, especially the build up to the killer tremolo line like 4 minutes
through Elder Giants... and then less than a minute later they're throwing down the most morbid,
crusty riff that could have been lifted from a Cultes des Ghoules demo. This album is so good.
and, I'm pretty sure the lyrics comment was in reference to the fact that he repeatedly rasps
"aHHHHHHHH" ~every five seconds in the first song (ie, there clearly are no discernible lyrics).

No fucking way this is typical. Very much awesome trance inducing bm. Do you not think I've heard my fair share of bm to claim this a 4?

I want you to review this! You totally get it. And this is for you:
Dedicated to zaruyache and Bergtatt for introducing me to these guys.

main difference b/w the two is the abundance of the word "dick" in the lyrical content.

Ha, thanks. I've actually been planning on reviewing this for some time. I'm literally right in the middle of my final year undergraduate exams though (the first was this afternoon), so time for whittling clever turns of phrase has been running a little short. Hence my relative absence/reticence.
This already has a great review, to draw in the consumers - I won't add another unless I feel it can add something to people's experience, I guess.
Also if you liked this then SERIOUSLY check their EP, Surpass Eclipse. It's everything good about black metal. Filthy satanic crust, WittR reverence/ritual, The Nightside Eclipse atmosphere/bombast, drone/noise, huge celestial tremolo lines... all in less than 14 minutes.

Doesn't hold a candle to this. Piggy-backs its influences too much.

No worries, it's a bunch of jibberish anyways. I just like cool albums to get exposed.

If you sneak up on them in their natural setting, they will reveal a world of metal with care and compassion. Come stomping into their den, Wizard will charge at his enemy and defend his stance to a tee.

it has reported that they prey upon fickle minds and lesser fauxbivores. however their reproductive rituals remain a mystery to wizardologists due to a lack of empirical data. speculative theorizing runs rampant amongst the academics.
