Not gonna lie, this album grows on me the more I listen to it. Doesn't hold a candle to Mantle or Ashes (and arguably Marrow), but I still enjoy it quite a bit and have been coming back to it a lot more lately.

It's their worst by a considerble margin, but it's still Agalloch so it's kind of good sure

still can't make it through this album without groaning lol
i would be very surprised if we didn't get another agalloch record in the future which would be very interesting

my friend saw them at MDF and said they were awful live.
honestly I have no stomach for this band anymore. it feels very juvenile in a way that I just can’t get past. it was awesome when I was 16 but I feel like I grew out of their vibe a while ago.

I saw them in Denver last year and they were very good.

I've been getting back into The Morningside (mainly their first and last albums) and it's been scratching that agallocj-but-not itch
Also this album rules

This album gets a lot of hate. It is definitely not as good as their earlier works but it is still a great album.

I need to revisit this tbh. Cannot remember the last time I've even played a song off it.

Today was the first snow of the year, so naturally I jammed Falling Snow.
This album does still suck though lol

Annoyed that the only time it snowed today was on my way to and from Uni. Would be a lot happier about it if I had earphones for Falling Snow though lol.

top 3 Agalloch, for sure

nothing beats Falling Snow during the first snowfall of the year. Probably the most tasteful and deft use of clean vocals on a BM-adjacent track in like 20 years

i do hope agalloch consider making new material because it would remain ruinously sad if this remained their final statement.
