My expectations for this are so low I might end up enjoying it.

Review was good in parts, but there's a couple of awkward sentences which really stunt its flow.

Damn the last song isn't what I thought it would be haha.

Digging this a lot. The long song structures took me awhile to get used to since First Temple was quite short and concise with it's songs. Very varied and unpredictable to say the least.

I normally approve of bands changing their sound and whatnot, but it seems I cannot get into this one. Loved their debut, this is kinda bland in my opinion. Nice review!

Definitely thought they were joking about the bisexual triangles lyrics but they managed to make it a stand out moment on the album. Halfway through and it's pretty solid but absolutely has some gimmicks. Nice review though.

thanks man

what really bothers me is that the good songs often have some really ludicrous parts, and it really breaks the flow between tracks

unless you're talking about the transition between pink lemonade and byzantine, but that one's just plain uncomfortable

Just finished the whole thing and I feel confused (That closer was absurd). As you said there are lots of good parts and songs but plenty of bizarre ones.

I've seen interviews with these guys and they are quite strange. I feel like they would have one idea and add it and then add another and another without realizing they don't all work. I think they tried too hard to be progressive and at times they just went too far and come off as gimmicky.

Overall, it is certainly not bad and as a whole there weren't any tracks that I couldn't stand (besides the closer). The title track, Seeds of Gold, and the ridiculous German-looking one were my favorites. Maybe it will grow on me more but right now 3/3.5

the album does have too much clutter/pointless shit but it's still excellent and innovative, far better than most other stuff out there

happy days is such a good song it would've made a worthy closer to the record, either way, I'm not bothered at all by the

last song, I think it's fun. I just wish the singer would keep quiet every once in a while throughout the songs.

I'm not expecting much from these guys. Their last album was WAY overrated. I liked it for a few months, then it gold old.
Fast.
