It's a bandwagon trend to hate Watain and has been for a while

I’ve never understood the hate but people are always harping on about how they’re posers and their music sucks blahblahblah

As I've said in other threads, it's always weird how music fans have that view of them, when the band members themselves are pretty highly respected among some of black metal's best underground musicians and part-takers.

Why would anyone call this generic when this is exactly the type of black metal I have a heard time finding a lot of out there. I think I've actually found Watain by searching for bands/albums similar to Immortal. Sure, this cannot touch the best of Immortal but at least showcases a good balance of melodicism and chaos, black and thrash/death.

Still best Watain.
