Ufabulum was one of the worst things I heard in 2012

Ufabulum was actually one of the first albums I got from this site when I first made an account and at the time I liked it, but no idea what I'd think of it now (Probably the same since my knowledge on electronic music isn't exactly deep lol)

Never checked his other stuff either which I probably should

sounds like I should stay away from this though

This honestly doesn't sound that bad to me. I also haven't heard much from this guy except for Feed Me Weird Things and Go Plastic.

Great review otherwise

I definitely need to give this a spin. I love Feed Me Weird Things, and didn't terribly dislike the promotional video shot for this, so maybe it isn't as 1-worthy as you guys are making it out to be.

This isn't really anything special, but it's definitely not a 1.5, imo.

You guys are bunch of fickle fuckheads. Robots playing live instruments? That's fucking awesome.

2 points off for no hover boards, tho.

I think that's why it sounds so mundane and boring, because real robots are behind the music, with all of their limited and confined constructs of expression. If this was purely meant to be a visual spectacle [which would have made a lot more sense] he would have simply released this on Blu-Ray or something, but he wants us to enjoy the music created from the experience on its own terms and in that regard it falls completely flat.

Or maybe, for us, it is!

It was the same thing with Ufabulum - there was a whole light show and stage event created

for it, but when you present your project in two completely different mediums (sight versus sound)

it makes it a little hard to justify the one without the other, unless you're Amon Tobin
