nice to see more people placing vitalogy at no. 1 tbh, since most seem to see it as a bit of a black sheep within their first 3.

As I said on the previous Page (fuck new pages tbh) this an No Code sound more mature, more progressed and developed musically speaking than Ten imo.

clay my main problem with ten has to be the production, it almost seems arena rock-ready and a bit too polished whereas the others have a more 'organic' sound to em, especially in vitalogy it's almost as if theyre playing right next to you in your room. no doubt the tunes are amazing but the record itself almost sounds a bit dated sometimes. it's still a strong 4 for me so yea ahah.

like, i'd never hear the studio version of porch when literally 95 percent of their live versions of the song are miles better.

Fair, I'm pretty biased because while I love this bands lesser known tracks, Alive and Black will always be my two favourite PJ songs.

Dan that's exactly the way I feel about Ten. Some of those songs are killer live, but I would feel unjustified rating an album that I hardly ever want to listen to before a lot of the others any higher than a 4

exactly dude. i mean, undoubtedly there's a handful of 5/5 tracks there but it doesn't have as many replay value as their other 90s albums. spot on rating too!

The typos in this review... one sentence uses "it's" both incorrectly and correctly, quite rare.

Nice to see this bumped from time to time, underrated album.

My favourite PJ album. Almost no filler, the only mediocre song for me is "Pilate".

Imho, it also has the best sound out of all PJ records. Raw, yet concise.

The album is great, but promoting the album as a return to their "roots" was a HUGE mistake, even if they specified that they were referring to ten and not Vs.
