One thing that should be noted is that the song that became "expensive conversations" was being played live during their reunion tours when Jason was still the guitarist, (remember he dropped out during the tour) and happens to be really the ONLY song on which there is a lot of interesting guitar work. The loss of Jason Hale (no offense to Thomas Erak as he's awesome and I love TFOT) turned out to be huge instrumentally.

The drummer changed, which is why the drumming changed.

I actually enjoyed this album, but it kept getting worse and worse. The last 4 minutes of the last track are just abysmal.

i dont think it was produced badly at all, nor was it mixed too badly, i think it was fucked in the mastering. you can have the best everything but if one person fucks up in the chain, thats it

@antigodoflife I have to agree w/ you on the production of the album. I want to like it, but the production makes it sound like garbage. I still haven't been able to finish it based off that fact alone.

Am I the only person other than antigodoflife that hears this?

this album kinda sucks. i was a huge fan of AWTEW but that's pretty much it.

only good song from the parts i've heard is the song expensive conversations....

also agreed on the production or mastering, whichever has given it this... i want to say shit sound
but its not QUITE shit. close tho

AWTEW got me into music that had harsh vocals entirely, so i have a soft spot for them.

tbh objectively this band has never been that great. a few interesting riffs here and there, some good
song writing here and there... etc.

slayer is man music huh? then i don't want to be a man... never been a fan of them :3

yeah craig doesn't really appeal to me tbh. i dont mind clean vocals mixed with metal but damn... it's like he never outgrew his AWTEW singing style. has stayed constant with every project he's ever been apart of.

i find his vocals to be more geared towards females. not that guys aren't allowed to enjoy them, but i would be willing to bet more girls enjoy chiodos than guys.
