Album Rating: 3.5
I give this review a 2.0.
The positive things said in the review don't sound like a 2.0 album, but if the score is merely a comparison to what The
Used is capable of and not an actual review of the album compared to other band on this site, then I agree.

Despite the cover this is way less political than it seems.

2.0 does not do this album justice in my opinion. Obviously the album rubbed you the wrong way, and that could be
purely the style of music you like. The Used have a pretty unique sound. I thought tracks 1 and 4 at the very least merit
somewhere near a 3 for the album. Does every track have to be amazing? Not in my opinion. I get it though. I've had
albums rub me the same way that got great reviews from others. The disparity of your score with many other reviews is
what makes it so suspect. I was extremely disappointed when I got through the album and was thinking.. wow... This
album is the largest set of tame songs they have ever made. My favorite songs by them are things like Sound Effects and
Overdramatics, so you can guess how much I liked that. That being said, I think songs had a lot of great elements and
that many were catchy, despite being completely different than what I want from this band. If your review can effect the
band to change that, then great, but I think the overall score was far to deprecating to the actual quality of the album.
Honestly, I haven't logged into this site since 2009. That's how much I disagreed with the score you gave. I actually
though you wrote it very well, and if you don't like the album and think it was "poor" I can respect that.

I liked all their previous albums, but this one doesn't really do it for me.

Honestly I probably would have given the album a 3.5 or 3.0 but this review was so negative that I applied my own unequal weight.

I don't think this album is bad
|
| |
This band honestly is just boring now. They really lost their charm for me.

A song to stifle is pretty good, very catchy.

haven't listened to a full album since artwork
but listened to the opener of this... man it's so pitch corrected, it's pretty distracting
it also sounds like one of those faux political songs that don't actually mean anything

So Green Day then?

Album Rating: 4.0
Overall I feel like this is their best album since their self-titled. None of the other ones have done much for me. Some of the lyrics here are hilariously awful though, especially that "l-o-v-e" song and "no way USA" song..

"So Green Day then?"
yeah pree much

I thought it wasn't that bad. I really dug the political message of the album.its good to hear the used trying to inform people
|
| |
Inform people about what? The same re-hashed lyrics about politicians and nuclear warheads?

there's no motivation behind them
|

The first and third tracks are good, but everything else is pretty average.

this fucking blows
