The fact that this band can transition from such enraged emotional material like their first album into a more somber and quiet but no less captivating song like "Woman (in mirror)" is pretty damned impressive. Just checking this out and it's awesome so far. Still haven't heard Wildlife though.

I cannot nail down why I like this album less than Wildlife. I want to say it's too restrained, but there are still a few relatively intense bits.
It's way more palatable than Somewhere..., but it's also a bit more forgettable.

wildlife didn't really click for me until i read all of the lyrics and listened to all of it in one sitting
i have yet to do that with this one, yet i already feel like it would be hard for it to not be as good. only saying that because the vocals are so low that it's actually hard to hear what he's saying sometimes, which is strange because that's always been this band's appeal for me
