I'm surprised this band isn't getting more praise around here. This band definitely runs the gamut with it's influences, but I for one love the throw back tinges of hard rock like Guns n' Roses and the couple of mid-tempo Pantera vibe riffs.
This band has a knack for writing very catchy melodies, while still presenting very challenging, genre hoping, technical-modern metal. I am excited to see what direction this band will go with their sound.

It's from Italy, which isn't notable for its metal scene, unlike:
England
Sweden(especially Sweden)
Finland
Norway
Scandinavia

Might listen just for the album name

This seems like exactly the type of record that people around here would eat up. It's incredibly technical guitar playing, along
with highly addictive melodies. I would think with all the clever influences they allude to would also help them appeal to a
wider fan base as well. Especially people who enjoy 80's and 90's metal. If they get the right exposure with this record, I
could easily see them becoming very popular world wide.

I appreciate this band's ability to write both the tweedly technical stuff, and the hard riffing stuff

I really like the screams in their music too. As catchy as the vocals can be during choruses, I find their frequent use of screams highly effective for their music as well. They are an extremely well rounded band that deserves much success. I can't wait to hear more from them in the future.

Decibel gave this a 2/10, not that they're a definitive authority but not one person here seems to feel the same.

yeah, it does. Btw inside, I completely forget that I liked this album a lot. I think it was just the one song I didn't like from this I was talking about.

Only kind of negative is the high-pitched harsh vocals but I can still dig em. This album is just a lot of fun and the guitar work is a blast.

Ohhhh it is. Seen them four times, two as headliners. So fucking fun, this album should sound killer live. Have you guys seen their documentary about the creation of AYKM?NO. Really great "behind the scenes" stuff.

That documentary is actually very insightful as to specific details that went into the creation of this amazing record. It goes to show that top quality records are truly the product of more than just the band, as the engineer, producer, and master were all integral into this amazing final product. One of the biggest surprises for me from this documentary was that the whole album was done without any quantizing or slice editing for any instruments. This is incredibly rare nowadays, and considering how technical the parts are on the album, an incredible achievement in instrumental abilities.

this is like Protest the Hero but not as fun and Dillinger but not as spastic.
seems like they're trying too hard to put in as much variety as possible and it's overwhelming.
like it's good, but damn guys, you don't need every fuckin genre in every fuckin song.
|
| |
there's just too much going on for it to be really good.
