Vitalogy >

Both are on the same level for me.

fuck man, right when the band started jamming hard in Rats they do some stupid fadeout to end the track. Abbruzzese was groovin too..
and they did the same thing on Corduroy too.
|
| |
Bit of a bummer yeah. But still that can't knock out Corduroy as one of the definitive Pearl Jam tracks.

I like this as much as Ten some days. Today is one of them days, jamming this hard.

I like this as much as Ten some days [2], sometimes I even love Vs. more, always hard to decide, always a big toss up between the two records.

album is so hit or miss for me and it's usually because of those hooks...
like Daughter is basically ruined because of that

Another purchase on the day it came out. On first listen I was disappointed but I grew to love it. The fucking ridiculous level of PJ fanboyism I had at the time helped.
Has my fave Pearl Jam tune on it - Indifference

Dan I can't put my finger on it but I never liked it. The gloss of 'Ten' and the rawness of 'Vitalogy' make those two work...this is a bit of a mess, it has a badly muddled identity, and sounds their most dated album for me
Song writing quality is all over the place more so than even Vitalogy and give me Immortality and Nothingman above Daughter and Elderly Woman any day. The punk tunes on Vitalogy also whip Leash to death
