all copies of this devilswork have to be burned at a stake of shame - all ears that ever heard this accumulation of inadequately aggressive, fast paced "musical" rubbish have to be amputated as cruel as possible

Hilarious that as soon as someone expresses an opinion outside their worldview they're immediately derided as a troll.

Notice that all of his favorite albums are Christian-oriented, but he likes Swans? wtf

Neg'd. Not because I disagree with the rating (in fact, my opinion of this album is not very high either). But because you just fail to make any solid arguments.

I don't really listen to much Slayer any more but this remains an excellent record (although I prefer South of Heaven). Yes it's violent, filthy and evil and that is the point!

Good call on Norma Jean, a great band who consistently make superb albums, very different from Slayer though.

Not sure if this is a troll review or simply someone taking this album too seriously (Slayer fans gonna hate), but one sentence that stuck out to me:

"1986 was undoubtedly the most depraved year for music, with countless albums expressing filth, drug abuse and sexuality"

Yeah, but there were probably just as many albums that didn't focus on those particular themes.
