Obey took a really long while for me to really appreciate fully - it's one of my favourite albums now. But I really just fucking love everything they've done apart from the last 2 albums which are still good
on a side note fan of this band should watch the film Angst, very similar atmosphere to a Brainbombs album

I haven't heard Burning Hell or the singles collection but so far I'm generally preferring the louder, more riff driven Brainbombs (Urge to Kill and this) to the one in Obey, not because of the vocals being high in the mix or anything I just think they had better riffs and were catchier. Plus, I like how in these albums some of the lyrics are a little more subtle making them border on some kind of sick poetry.
That said I start a appreciating their albums more the more I listen to them including Obey, so maybe I'll be able to agree with a lot of their fans that think that one's the best. I definitely think that it's the closest thing they came to having some sort of magnum opus because it's so unique in the rest of their discog.
And thanks, I'll check it out, can't stop listening to these guys lately.

check burning hell asap, it's definitely their weirdest album i'd say and it's gone some of their best songs.. pleasures and dreams, urge to kill, and after acid which is completely unlike anything else they've done. both the singles collection albums are great too

Angst aka Schizophrenia aka Fear is probably the best film about a serial killer. Another good film to watch if you're into Brainbombs is Ex-Drummer.
