both are great, no shadows jeff. just jams
|
| |
If every song was as good as the 6 or 7 songs that rule then this would be in my top 5 too but alas...
|
| |
pretty much my thoughts
in terms of stepping up from his debut this is an incredible leap forward though

A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain.

in terms of stepping up from his debut this is an incredible leap forward though
Oh yes definitely, going from an album made up of mostly covers and traditionals to this was an incredible leap indeed.
|
| |
and then he goes and churns out 5 great-to-classic albums in the space of two years
it's terrifying really
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
he has 8 great to classics in the 60's alone
|
| |
not really a fan of JWH at all but even 7 is quite a volume
|
| |
I'd rank JWH above about 4 of his other 60's albums.

yeah it's downright crazy, and part of the reason why he is essential
|
| |
and then releasing something as good as blood on the tracks out of nowhere, this fucking guy
|

Album Rating: 4.5
time out of mind in the 90's
|
| |
he's produced at least one great album every decade so far except for maybe the 80s, and even that has infidels which i love
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
i haven't heard all his stuff, nothing from the 80's yet
but then again, i have a lot of compilations

i feel like such a dylan noob right now lol
what do you guys think of another side of bob dylan?
|
| |
infidels is definitely worth checking, oh mercy is highly regarded too if you can tolerate daniel lanois' production and slow train coming is his only good born again record
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
it's not overwhelming, but like all his 60's stuff it has some great songs that you need to hear eventually
