On my first text, the first paragraph was tied up with the second but it ended up looking quite long.
I had to modify my lines a little bit and separate the paragraphs.
Glad you enjoyed the reading and hopefully you will check this out.
"makes this album look very promising"
This is the general concept of the review. Its only purpose is to give insight and inform the reader
what to except from the album. If my review does exactly that, I'm satisfied with myself.

This album is just as good as the first time I listened to it. The fuzzy walls of riffs combined with the vocalist who sounds like a siren calling you through a thick, misty marijuana haze in the forest is what makes it so good.

Heard these guys are coming to my town in Sept so I figured I'd check this out. Good stuff so far

Put on a really good show and the band members are chill as fuck. Drummer ran outside to get the guitarist to make sure I could get everyone's signature on my cd

i relistened to this and its honestly not that bad
i make fun of stoner music but i should probably listen to more of it, repeating the same chord for 10 minutes is my kind of thing
|
| |
Just went back and looked at it and I have to say I agree pretty much 100%. Last night while watching them play I realised just how often the guitarists re-use the same chords from song to song and was a little surprised. However, the fact that it hadn't hit me until then does say something about their abilities at coming up with new ways of arranging and using them.

Soma sounds better in studio, I saw the band live some time ago.

The album is awesome and all, but as far as live concerts go, band has a lot of room for improvement.
Now the tour in Europe was a really low-budget one - quite probably the first European tour for the band - and the guys and girl singer were a bit "intimidated" by how things turned with Soma, they probably didn't expect to tour that much and to a different continent.

| |
Overall I'd agree that Soma sounds better on record. The live mix could still use some work as the lead
guitar often got muffled in the loudness of it all and Dorthia's voice doesn't have that same airy feel as
on here without all the effects.
However, I still very much enjoyed their set. Although it may not fit as well into the music without the
effects, her voice sounds great on it's own and the atmosphere was dense as fuck.
Plus like I mentionned in the comment above, the band seemed like genuinely good, laidback people which is
always cool to find out

^^Agreed

I saw them play a tiny venue in Ottawa that was like half full because it was a Tuesday so I guess they were a little more confident there haha
|

Their guitarist looked more than "slightly" buzzed

I saw them too on a week night and the concert attendants were few - below 50 people - so it was probably the-not-so-warm atmosphere that hindered the band from performing better. That's just me, though.
