"Their first 3 are best by far imo."
There isn't an Offspring album I'd call completely bad but I agree hard with that. The quality drop from Smash to Ixnay is already impressive in the worst sense. In fact, I dig this one a bit more than Ixnay though in the end I have both rated 3.0 because I feel Americana is less consistent.
Have You Ever, The Kids Aren't Alright, The End of the Line, No Brakes, t/t and Pay the Man are great. Especially t/t which is one of my fave Offspring songs in general. But the rest ranges from okay to aggressively harmless

Most nostalgic album ever. Some pretty cringeworthy lyrics at times but this is still a surprisingly entertaining listen

This is probably my third favorite after Smash and Ixnay. But Ignition is up there too and I think Splinter is underrated.

Ignition is probably my favourite but the first 5 LP's are all incredible and even now everything after that has had some great songs.

I was just checking some of my older reviews and came upon this one. The source image URL which I included in my review has now changed compared to what it was when I first put it here... I swear it wasn't like that initially !!!

Listening to Americana again, and now I think is not THAT BAD as I remembered 5 or 6 years ago. Maybe is not as dark and powerful as smash, but it is a great album on it's own.

it's insane just how fucking great pay the man is
wish they had more songs like that
|

Smash. Dark and Powerful?
Fucking hell.

Dookie. Erudite and thought provoking.

Not a big Offspring fan, but this and Smash were my shit back in the day. This album is so underrated. The Kids Aren’t Alright May be their best song imo.

I fucks with this. I may be biased cos this was my favourite album at age 15, but it's their second best after Smash.

Agreed — The Kids Aren’t Alright is still probably my favorite Offspring song lol.

Yeah, it's one of the best. The t/t is a banger too.
