There isn't an Offspring album I'd call completely bad but I agree hard with that. The quality drop from Smash to Ixnay is already impressive in the worst sense. In fact, I dig this one a bit more than Ixnay though in the end I have both rated 3.0 because I feel Americana is less consistent.



Have You Ever, The Kids Aren't Alright, The End of the Line, No Brakes, t/t and Pay the Man are great. Especially t/t which is one of my fave Offspring songs in general. But the rest ranges from okay to aggressively harmless

Most nostalgic album ever. Some pretty cringeworthy lyrics at times but this is still a surprisingly entertaining listen

Listening to Americana again, and now I think is not THAT BAD as I remembered 5 or 6 years ago. Maybe is not as dark and powerful as smash, but it is a great album on it's own.

Not a big Offspring fan, but this and Smash were my shit back in the day. This album is so underrated. The Kids Aren’t Alright May be their best song imo.
