It's kinda a pet peeve of mine to not have a summary but it's not a criticism haha. Personally I have to have one there. And cool will be looking forward to the reviews. I kinda wanna do Tool's next. I know they have lots of reviews but I don't care :D

I'm not sure if I wanna do summaries for non-featured reviews anymore. In many cases, there have been people who just look at the summary of a review to know how good or bad it is, without looking at the review itself. To me, that isn't flattering to anyone who's serious about reviewing and letting their work be seen

You got a point there. Someone actually told me my summary was terrible for my review yesterday. I said did you even read to the second paragraph? ha anyway I still like to have one.

Yeah, your summary worked with the context of the review. I love that intro to that album anyway :P

Yup. I can't believe this is the first PT review I've done, since they were one of the first rock groups I listened to and they've always been one of my favorites

It's such a shame that if you ask most people in the real world "hey you like Porcupine Tree?" most of the time they'll just say "never heard of them."

Most sputnik core bands are like that. Some people haven't even heard of Deftones like damn

Like knowing of them but never listened to them is one thing, but NEVER HEARD OF THEM? That's a stretch.

Its the same with genres, a lot of people I know havent even heard the term progressive rock, let alone know what it is.

I legit had to explain to my best friend what progressive music is one time lol and post rock is another one haha. I actually don't even know how to explain what that is. JUst know what bands are post rock.

Its prob best just to say prog is bands with long songs, no need to go into saying it has odd time signatures etc, or it would go way over their head.

I said that the lyrics are normally out there, the songs are longer, and most of the time they don't really have a traditional song structure.

When I explain post rock to someone, I usually explain how the songs are longer, have more of a classical influence about them, and focus more on the sprawling musical environments they create
