I saw these guys open for Coheed and Cambria earlier this year, and while I thought they were good, I couldn't see the luster that their reputation supposedly provides.
Where is a good starting point for a new listener to Russian Circles? I'm pretty curious about hearing them outside of a live context.

I honestly think these guys are better live then in the studio. The drummer just destroys his kit and your organs rupture in the process... its incredible.

This was unbelievable, definitely meets expectations. But I found that while there really isn't a bad song, it's missing some of the standout "highlight" moments that Empros had (namely when Mladek gets heavier or the intro to Atackla when the guitars comes in). There's none of that here.
