that's a pretty big jump yeah
im pretty interested to see where they'll go from black lines. for a band that overall didnt particularly do a lot to change up their sound it did mark a pretty interesting shift for them and i wanna see where they'll take that. As long as we get at least one track in the same vein of look up and see infinity I'm good

Yeah that track was easily the best on that album, and one of the best in Mayday's discog.

I'd be inclined to agree yeah
hopefully if they do have a new one in the works it won't follow the trend of great odd number albums bad even number albums

Personally I'm hoping they go back to the sound they had on the self-titled.

I'd say go back to ALIR but ALIR with Jason seems meaningless. So I wouldn't mind them expanding on this newer sound

Did you not like the self titled Green?

I used to think it was average but it's grown on me. Still, I don't think I'd want a second album of that. It's practically what this was and it was not good.

Eh, the self titled is a hard 5/5 for me and is quite a bit different from this for a multitude of reasons honestly. The production on the self titled is hands down the absolute best in Mayday Parade's discog, it's where they best utilized the dual vocal dynamic between the Derek and Jake (I like their dynamic better than Derek and Jason Lancaster's), and the writing / lyrics just seemed more sincere than before.

Am I the only one here who really sees the huge differences between this and the self titled?
