I've exchanged words with the dude a few times and he wasn't really pretentious at all, and going by his reviews he's rlly modest (notice how many times he says "In my opinion" or "I think" or "for me" or "I get why people would like/dislike it but")

I don't generally agree with him all that much either but the word pretentious is used in such a dumb way these days
