For me, the difference between this album and Blackbird is the difference between the verses of Addicted to Pain and the bridge/outro - a greater influence of 80's than 90's. I mean, they've clearly always had both going on, but I get a funny feeling jamming with Slash influenced Myles quite a bit.
Which isn't to say that's a bad thing, I'm just a 90's kid, so I much prefer the songs that have those influences.
