oh man what a bump

"the complaint of the whooshing sound is laugh out loud funny. It is called "white noise" and is literally one of the most fundamental aspects of all EDM production in addition to other basic things like the kick, side chain compression (not always), and synths. Its literally what DEFINES House music"

a) can you not talk to me like I've literally never listened to electronic music before? b) house music is defined by a 4x4 beat. that's just about it. if the whooshing sounds "DEFINES" house music than this apparently isn't house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIdimVDuSEU

"And calling his production bad is also a joke considering its pretty world class and takes years and years of audio engineering experience to get that type of sound."

having producing skills =/= using those skills well. avicii has the former but not the latter in this case

also when do I complain about this on the basis that it's got catchy choruses? did you read the review?

I like how bad the EDM-hating circlejerk is, but this is by no means a good album. I enjoy a lot of EDM, including the much-maligned big room house style, but this is just a lazy album, and proves yet again that EDM artists should stick to single tracks rather than a whole album which gets boring after 5 minutes. If anyones interested in some decent Avicii tracks (in my opinion anyway), have as listen to Fade Into Darkness, Street Dancer and Last Dance.

I didn't know that existed actually but I'll give it a listen. Song sounds like it would be better instrumentally.

He had longstanding alcohol and drug issues, almost certainly from that. Went to rehab a bunch, had surgery to remove some organs at 24. Reason he retired actually
