Great review... Even as I enjoy this a whole lot more than the reviewer, I completely see where its coming from... Really disjointed album with a by-the-numbers vibe to it. But I do enjoy some of the songs, especially ' nocturnal...' and 'infinity'

well, there is no doubt that they went downhill sharply after Volcano... Even thou 'Now Diabolical' is still pretty decent. Their prime was rather short, but damn, was it impressive!

Volcano is pretty cool too, imo. Anything after the Age Of Nero just feels like the watered down version of Satyricon.



I would never say they lost it after Nemesis Divina, because albums like Now, Diabolical stand still as very solid outputs, but I have no idea what happened with them... (Deep Calleth Upon Deep is kinda alright tho)

Yeah this is so far removed from Nemesis Divina and certainly from Dark Medieval Times, it’s almost another band.

I totally missed Rebel and volcano and came back for Now Diabolical which I was shocked to hear the first time but got into it.
