This album really disappoints. While the new sound is a good change, it is the songwriting that really lets the album down. The songs here lack the urgency of the first album and tend to be quite dull. Having said that, "Hearts Like Ours" is a brilliant song.

I agree on some parts overthehill, though the song writing is a welcomed change for the progression, but their is some very weak parts.

Asian is the way to go after all.
In all seriousness, may drop this down to a 4 as I haven't listened to this in a few weeks, but it's still damn good.

Caught the Boston show on Saturday night. Red Sox were playing game one of the ALCS across the street, so the city was jumping. Really great show. Highlights included Rolling Waves, Punching in a Dream, and a fantastic rendition of I Kill Giants.

Punching In a Dream is super rad live. I remember a few years back at Falls Festival when Passive Me was fresh, the opened with punching in a dream,
There was only a handful of people in the crowd before their set, but as soon as the synth line began, over 10,000 people came running down the hill from the other stage to watch. I remember the guitarist saying, what the fuck as 10,000 people streamed down the hill to watch them play haha

Grow Old is probably one of the best break up songs:
"And now I’m sorry for explaining
How you fucked it up again
Now I’m watching you backpedal
I wasn’t supposed to feel ashamed"
