I wasn't kidding when I said I had forgotten what just about everything on this sounded like aside from the title track, and that's only because of how much I heard it played. I don't seem to be missing much at least.

I actually like Heretic and Coming Home.
Everything else is either terrible or extremely forgettable.

And honestly, both of those tracks are good because Syn has some killer solos on them.

"that song is decent too aside from the cornball spoken word part" Yeah I can definitely see that, although it's still never really bothered me

Opening track and Coming Home are actually pretty good, but everything else is criminally boring. Always find Avenged to be a fun listen even at their worst, but I struggle with this. Self titled is way better in my opinion.

I personally hate the self-titled but I can definitely see that

Self-titled at least has the nostalgia factor going for it, and there's genuinely good stuff like Afterlife that manages to make it not quite as terrible, but there really isn't anything worth saving here. It's the epitome of so bland it's bad.

Afterlife is probably the best song ever made that’s on a bad album

Well we can agree on Doing Time at least
That’s the worst GnR song and I already fucking hate GnR

Maybe it's just call of duty nostalgia speaking, but Shepherd of Fire goes pretty hard

It's pretty bad but more-so in the terribly bland category than actually awful. There's worse that you can do with mainstream radio metal.
