No-Man, IEM, Blackfield, PT, Bass communion, his solo works, he experiments a lot more than Akerfeldt, and successfully. You should definitely listen to the latest No-Man albums if you haven't, very good stuff.

I'm not saying he's the best, I'm saying he's better than Akerfeldt imo. Both are brilliant but SW quite a bit better imo.

Dude you're blinded by Akerlove :D. Mikaels delved in dm, bm, prog, jazz, has bluesy solo phrasing.
SW's delved in electronica, pop, jazz, prog, metal, drone, trip hop, psychedelia, ambient, jam rock,
and done so well imo. He also plays quite a few instruments. His musical understanding is phenomenal.
