Nobody listens to metal for lyrics. I do often times look up the lyrics to songs I really like and sometimes the meaning is still unclear. I like when song lyrics are kinda left up to the listener to interpret though. Some super famous songs don't even have a clear meaning yet the people who listen to "pop" music will insist that metal is dumb because you don't know what the song is about. I'm like, I bet you don't even know what some of your favorite songs are about big dog.
Rain when I die is a good example of one that i was trying to figure out recently. Turns out nobody could really figure out what it was about except that it seems to be about some combo of drugs/gf

i always thought Rain When I Die was just about how despite all the shit he got throughout the relationship, she's still gonna miss him when he's gone and regret how she treated him
