however, i have to admit thom's voice kinda became a little dated from 2010 onwards. it is very croony and sugary now, i guess it used to have more power and raw emotion to it back in the late nineties / early 2000's.

It's because thom's voice is similar to Matt Bellamy's and chris Martin's, and that shit's all over the radio

i can get why you'd say bellamy, but it is in NO way similar to chris martin's.

They both croon the same way over sad rock music. At least in early Coldplay Chris did. The Radiohead comparisons are easy to make with cold play's first record

I think I like this more than I Don't Like Shit, even if it's not as cohesive it's just a lot more fun. so many insane verses. so many creative, fun beats. I get what he was doing on 'dont like shit' but compared to this it just feels like a chore to sit thru

agreed. the first half of IDLS up to and including Grief is my favourite string of songs he's done but after that it just feels like a collection of pretty good songs without much flow to them. this on the other hand presents itself slightly looser from the get go and it flows much better as a result. plus most of these beats are fucking outstanding

strapped up, long as the chief of police armed

his verse has just as many weak bars as it does good ones though.

Domo's verse on 20 Wave Caps is like, one of the best verses on this.
