i expect they'll release something this year, hopefully it will be heavier/more aggressive as they did a bit of throwback to their early stuff on Black Market

this is already better than like 75% of their discog and I grew up on rise against lol. I don't think they'll ever get back to the old sound tbh

yeah it's better to give up on rise against. They're stuck making political alt rock for the rest of their lives

I fucking love this to bits.

Is early Rise Against this good too? My older brothers listened to Appeal to Reason a lot back in the day and I'm largely indifferent to that record.

I love how weird this can get

P.S. Early Rise Against has some stuff that is a little better than this imo. But this is brilliant

So stoked found a copy of this on vinyl, yes shipping is costing me double what the record cost but well worth it. I was never able to find a CD copy of it and it's not even on Spotify just youtube so great to grab it on vinyl!

This record is post-hardcore perfection. Or whatever genre it is.

It's really not much like early Rise Against though, in any way except Tim is the singer...

Definitely has cool moments but suffers from early 2000's songwriting tropes for me, which leads to songs feeling incohesive and kinda cheesy at times. The clean vocals seem to hinder more often than they help. And like, the songs are way too long lol. Like the average length is somewhere between 5 and 6 minutes and rarely does all that time feel justified.

I thought this would be better due to the background, but it turned out just alright

its a disjointed cheese fest with some truly awful lyrics and vocals. songwriting ranges from good to meh and the riffs are pretty decent.
