Hopelust because this was Controller pt 2 which is exactly what it should be. The new album can't continue in the same direction because the new/old guy can't bring what Karl brings. He has his own style, which means this album will most likely be a departure. Might be good, but most likely won't cause I don't like Jesse at all or that era of the band.

Yeah I'm not sure I'm on board with that statement either. Controller was pretty heavily produced, where I don't find that's the case with this one. The themes might be the same-ish, but sonically I don't see the connection.
