They don't compress their music in mixing as much as every other metal band. So naturally there's gonna be a wider dynamic in the album. It doesn't bother me like Steven Wilson's albums do, though xD

Less compression is a good thing

yeah but i think the sound was a lot better on their last album, much wider soundscape and still pretty dynamic and not overly compressed

Not sure how much anybody cares but I've noticed a lot of lyrics span across their discography (apart from all the space/Europa stuff), in Hara he definitely says "Lift the copper from the eyes / Lift the silver from the tongue" which I just noticed as a nice little play on the opening lyrics of Lift part 1. These guys have always been pretty cryptic about their lyrical content which has gotten me quite engaged in making these connections and stuff, its pretty cool to just suddenly come to realizations like this while re-listening to Wake/Lift out of the blue. Digging the album a lot.

Fuck might brin this up back to a 4.5.
Also good one on noticing that Sunborn, the lyric line I notice the most is the release, revolve, renew combination present in Wake/Lift, ADOM and maybe TGS but not sure; would like to have the lyrics for this album as I loved the ones one TGS and W/L

Yeah, I noticed that release/revolve/renew comes up on TMA-3 too, and So Warm A Solitude shares a lot of its lyrics with Ryu which is pretty cool too. I recall them saing that the lyrics for this are coming with the physical release so I'm pretty stoked on that.

This grows until you listen to ADOM or TGS again.

Physical cd's will be in Europe, but in the U.S vinyl versions are planned if they get enough funds. Also this is better than ADOM by a short straw

Nice avatar.

Ryu, Myo and Oku live are amazing songs, Armine definitly isn't tired of making music
|
| |
Nah dude, this pretty much sucks, but band was sweet before

Met Armine on Saturday at Damnation Festival and bought this on physical disc from him. He's a cool guy and they played a great set to a very decently sized crowd.
Whilst this is no TGS or Wake/Lift, it sure is a grower.
